Tenant Charges

We pride ourselves on transparency and that’s why we publish a full list of associated costs when you’re securing a property through us. It’s always best to speak directly to the consultant that you are registered with to confirm which charges would be relevant for you:

Pre tenancy

• Referencing fee – £70 per person
• Check in fee – Price is based on the size of the property, please see below:
  • 1 Bedroom – £113.20
  • 2 Bedroom – £137.20
  • 3 Bedroom – £156.40
  • 4 Bedroom – £178.00
  • 5 Bedroom – £199.60

• Deposit – Typically 6 weeks’ rent (per property)
• Guarantor required? Home Traders allows the first one to be referenced for £75; each additional guarantor carries a fee of £60.00.*

During your tenancy

• Change of occupancy – £150.00 per person
• Renewal document fee – £150.00 per property

Post tenancy

• • Reference request fee – £30.00 per person

Throughout the tenancy and at the end of the tenancy there are other costs that must be covered on top of the rent. These might include:

• Utilities (gas, electricity, water and telephone)
• Council Tax
• Television licence
• Installation of cable/satellite
• Insurance (for your personal and own contents)
• Garden maintenance
• Professional cleaning of the property
• Dilapidations
